Welcome to Blacktropolis—a directory built to help you discover and support businesses, not to argue with strangers on the internet. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If that’s a problem, we respectfully invite you to close the tab (no hard feelings).

1) What this is (and isn’t)

We’re a business directory and discovery platform. We’re not your lawyer, accountant, or mom. Content on Blacktropolis is for general information only—no professional advice. Double-check details before you spend money or travel across town.

2) Your account

  • You’re responsible for anything done with your account. Use a strong password.
  • If you claim or manage a listing, you promise you’re authorized to represent that business. We can ask for proof and un-claim a listing if things look sketchy.
  • We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. It’s not personal; it’s housekeeping.

3) Your content

  • You keep ownership of your text, images, and reviews.
  • You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content on Blacktropolis (and to promote the platform).
  • Keep it lawful and respectful. No hate speech, harassment, spam, or deceptive junk. We can edit, hide, or remove content at our discretion.

4) Listings & accuracy

  • We try to keep listings fresh, but hours, menus, prices, and vibes can change. Call ahead, check the business’s site, or read recent reviews.
  • A listing on Blacktropolis ≠ an endorsement. We showcase businesses; we don’t vouch for every claim on the planet.

5) Reviews

  • Be honest and specific. No personal attacks, confidential info, or revenge campaigns.
  • Businesses can respond. We may moderate for clarity, fairness, and policy compliance.

6) Payments & plans (when applicable)

  • Any paid features (promotions, upgrades, etc.) are billed via third-party processors. We don’t store full card numbers.
  • Plans may auto-renew unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Fees are generally non-refundable, except where local law says otherwise or we explicitly say so. If billing looks wrong, contact us quickly so we can help.

7) Don’ts (seriously, don’t)

  • No scraping, crawling, or using bots to copy data or stress our servers.
  • No reselling access, running illegal promotions, or uploading malware.
  • No impersonation. Be you.

8) Third-party stuff

We use services like mapping, analytics, email delivery, and payments. When you interact with them, their terms and privacy practices apply too. (We keep the integrations lightweight and respectful.)

9) Intellectual property

The Blacktropolis name, logos, and site design are ours. Don’t use them without written permission. If you think something on the site infringes your rights, email iam@blacktropolis.com with details and we’ll review.

10) Disclaimers & liability

  • The site is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect data, or eternal uptime.
  • To the fullest extent allowed by law, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (translation: if a listing has the wrong hours and you miss taco night, we’re not buying your tacos).
  • If we’re found liable anyway, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (often $0).

11) Termination

We can suspend or end access for any violation of these terms or to protect users, partners, or the platform. You can leave anytime—just stop using the site (and cancel paid plans, if any).

12) Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to keep pace with reality. We’ll post changes here and update the date at the top. Keep an eye out.

13) Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with venue in Broward County, FL (unless your local law requires otherwise). You agree to that venue and jurisdiction.
