Whether you’re interested in the sciences, business, or the arts, Talladega College provides the resources and encouragement you need to thrive. It’s a college where your journey of tradition and achievement begins.

Founded in 1867, Talladega College is Alabama’s oldest private HBCU and a student-centered liberal-arts institution grounded in the United Church of Christ tradition. The campus anchors a historic district and is home to the celebrated Amistad Murals in Savery Library—signature artworks that tie the College to the American Missionary Association and Talladega’s origin story.

Today Talladega couples small-college attention with practical support: Career Pathways Services, a Student Success Center, Counseling & Wellness plus a Student Health Center, and Housing & Residence Life. Spirit runs through the Great Tornado Band and NAIA athletics competing in the HBCU Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) as the Tornadoes.
