The studio offers a diverse range of yoga classes, including gentle yoga, therapeutic yoga, chair yoga, and specialized sessions for all ages and abilities. With a focus on inclusivity and accessibility, PIES Fitness Yoga Studio creates a safe space where everyone can explore movement, mindfulness, and self-care at their own pace.
Beyond regular classes, the studio provides workshops, private sessions, and holistic wellness services such as massage therapy and Reiki. The team at PIES Fitness is passionate about fostering a sense of community, empowerment, and personal growth. Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll find a supportive environment and a variety of offerings designed to nurture your whole self.
You should wear something comfortable that leaves you free to move and bend in all directions. Fitted or semi-fitted clothing gives the instructor a better view of your form to ensure the long-term safety of your joints. Layers allow you to adjust with the changing temperature of your body throughout the practice.
If you own a yoga mat you should bring that and a bottle of water. If you do not yet own a yoga mat or you forget to bring one, they are available to rent for an additional $2. If you are taking a high-intensity or hot yoga class you may bring a towel.
In order to keep the studio cleaner we request that you remove your shoes at the door. You may keep your socks on. If you are taking a flow class we recommend you remove your socks or wear special yoga socks with grips on the bottom to prevent you from slipping in standing postures.
Yoga is about compassionately opening the body. It is not expected that you be able to touch your toes. Instructors of the accessible classes will offer props and modifications to help you gently gain greater flexibility.
The instructor is present to serve and guide your practice, not get in his or her own practice on your time. The teacher will often demo a posture the first time through and may come out early and will observe the class to offer additional cues, modifications, or enhancements.
