Where every story matters and every cup connects.
Fulton Street Books & Coffee is Tulsa’s go-to spot for good reads, great brews, and even better conversations. This cozy, community-driven space is all about amplifying diverse voices—especially those often left out of the mainstream. Whether you’re here to grab a new book, sip on a locally roasted coffee, or just vibe with the neighborhood, you’ll find a welcoming crew and a menu that’s as thoughtful as the curated shelves.
Step inside and you’ll feel the energy—walls lined with stories that matter, tables filled with folks deep in conversation, and the aroma of fresh coffee in the air. Fulton Street isn’t just a bookstore or a coffee shop; it’s a movement, a safe space, and a celebration of culture, connection, and community.
Take a sec to meet Onikah Asamoa-Caesar, the powerhouse behind Fulton Street Books & Coffee. For Onikah, this spot isn’t just a business—it’s a living, breathing love letter to her younger self and a safe haven for Black and Brown folks who crave community, culture, and a good read. With roots stretching from Jersey to Cali (and a special shoutout to Hazlehurst, Mississippi), she’s now repping Tulsa with pride, pouring her heart into a space that’s all about intersection, experience, and liberation.
Onikah’s journey brought her to Tulsa in 2013 with Teach for America, and she’s been making moves ever since. She’s worked on criminal justice reform in Colorado, helped launch early childhood initiatives for Tulsa’s most vulnerable families, and championed equity as a program officer at the George Kaiser Family Foundation. When she’s not deep in a book, you’ll find her chasing good eats, hitting the trails, or exploring the world with her little one by her side.
